Caldera Installed FROG Startup Instructions
Please take the time to read the owners manual to associate yourself with the spa model you purchased.
This instruction sheet was designed for you, to simplify the chemical maintenance of your hot tub. The chemical instructions inside the manual are very thorough, but may be confusing to some customers. We hope that the following instructions will allow you to spend minimal time in maintenance and more time enjoying your hot tub.
- Locate grey cap that says “replace minerals after draining spa”
- Unscrew counter clockwise to remove.
- Push down handle and rotate counter clockwise “two arrows will line up.
- Pull up canister.
- Make sure both blue and purple cartridges are set at #1 setting
- Put blue caldera mineral cartridge on top and the purple bromine cartridge on bottom.
- Slide canister back in, line up arrows, push down and rotate clockwise.
Make sure the power is off when draining or filling, do not run spa without water. Always fill spa with water running through filter compartment to allow water to bleed out air pockets in spa. The proper water level is one inch below any spa pillow.
- Turn on power to spa
Remember, if you have an ozone system make sure bubbles are coming out of the side of your spa. If no bubbles are present, you may need to prime your circulation pump.
The following steps below are the chemical startup instructions. All chemicals are added only when the cover is removed, and when the jets are running. Chemicals should be added into the filter compartment. Please allow chemicals to circulate 20 minuets between each step.
